BCI Future of Resilience

The BCI say Resilience as a value creator: Today 13% see it that way, but 59.1% are expecting it. Here is our review on what you can do in the next three months.

Our easy read summary of the BCI Future of Resilience Report 2026 helps sets the findings against what regulators are actually doing. One gap stands out. Organisations rank supply chain risk near the bottom of their list. Regulators have put it at the top of theirs, from the UK critical third parties regime to DORA oversight and new UK third party reporting from 18 March 2027.

Five strategic actions for the next Three Months, and then beyond in our below review

  • Map your Dependencies to Supplier and Component level, and Evidence Remediation.

  • Bring AI inside your Resilience Framework and your Third Party Register.

  • Exercise Compound Scenarios at Executive Level.

  • Set a Board Resilience Baseline, with at least one Financial measure.

  • Test your Incident Reporting Clock against a 24 hour notification.

Our full review covers what to plan for 2027 and beyond, and why you can expect to see the arrival of the Chief Resilience Officer. Survey data: The BCI. Interpretation: Armstrong Resilience.
